Creative Business Best Sellers - From years of Experience

So what makes me an expert?  I don't say that I am, but I can tell you that I have tried just about everything.  From trends that are short lived to sold merchandise that continues to sell year after year.  

So if you are new to my site, Hi, I'm Steph and I have been in business for more than 20 years crafting my way, all the way to owning a laser.  Just 7 years ago I purchased my first and at this moment, only laser.  I will introduce you to Big Blue soon and all the tips about owning her.  But for now how do you find that product that sells.

Owning a business has its ups and downs & it is very hard work. (If anyone tells you differently RUN)  I spend time marketing, developing products, and researching and testing.  That is about 3 days a week from 6am-6pm.  Do I need to do that, the short answer is YES!  If you don't have time and money to throw at this them you are in the right place.

I am spilling the beans.  I am but one in my business, I do this as my full time income.  I don't like fluff so you are going to get it straight here.  

First, If you want to jump on trends it's really up to you, there is money in them, but when they die (and they will) you better have a new trend that is equally popular or the cash cow stops entirely. And honestly it is exhausting.  It leads to major business burnout fast! 

Second, researching products, key words to find products means late nights, or you can follow me here.  Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook.  Following a real fulltime business owner might be a good option.  I am and support all small businesses.  I don't just talk the talk, I walk the walk everyday. 

So, What are some items you can run with right now? 

  • Personalized gifts
  • Moving Emotional Products
  • Games that promote family time
  • Traditional home décor that serves a purpose and looks nice
  • Gifts for special clients like realtors, party planners, other small businesses. 

These have been huge for me.  I didn't do this day one.  And everyone told me to niche down.  Look you don't have to stop making what you love to create.  You just need to find a couple products that can be adjusted to serve more buyers.  But after 7 years in the laser industry these have played well in my collections.
