No time to design from scratch? These done-for-you laser files are tested, proven, and created for women running businesses between work and family. Create beautiful, giftable products that sell fast.
So you made it here to find your answer and I am going to tell you what you want to hear? Well, I am going to tell you that finding files is not hard, heck just about everyone gives them or sells them, but HOW do you know if they are good files and they sell? And that last thing is a big thing isn't it.
You set up at a show, everything is perfect, looks amazing but your sales are what matters? It is in fact why we go do these. So how do you find tested laser files that actually sell.
Hi, I'm Steph and I have been doing craft shows and vendor events for more than 20 years. You might think that makes me an expert, but this industry of retail is fickle. You will have ups and downs and I could promise to sell you Ice on a hot tin roof, and you might just buy, but I'd rather sell you that one file that brings you hundreds of sales. So what products sell? How do you make money selling at shows? Here is some advice.
First, Personalize everything you buy. If you purchase a file make it your own creation. There is nothing more boring than walking into a craft show and seeing hand made makers Filled with the same stuff. It looks like Temu. And I don't know about you but I would rather they come to my table and find NEW Unique and emotional creations that I made by hand.
If you purchase a file, NEVER paint it or make it look just like the sample. DON"T! If you have a style, then paint or make it look like your style/brand. If shoppers come in the door and have to choose from hundreds of booths selling the SAME looking thing they won't buy. If you make it different, purpose it differently, display or paint it differently then chances are they will buy yours just to be more unique. They probably will not even notice you are making the same item but it looks different or holds a different creative use.
Second, If you have the time, are local to the event, and or have a portable laser and can add a name, then do it. You can have hundreds of items in different styles, colors ect but you can personalize on the spot you just moved your sales to the front of the line for buyers.
Third, if you can not personalize on the spot then make a sign that tells buyers you can personalize, and how they then get the order from you.
And finally, my why. I stated releasing some of my most popular files to sell this year. It began with the tent sign. I started making these and taking orders at every show a couple years ago. My design has evolved and I often have a few of the Sign brackets complete with the hardware at every show. The reason I do this is 1. I don't need to ship the largest & heaviest piece of the design. And 2. because there are so many sign makers at shows who make door rounds and don't have a clue and the bracket I make and why it is special. I am not surprised when vendors approach my tent and buy them and yes they sell pretty fast. I add high powered magnets to the bracket, the Velcro straps to attach them so they are safe and secure. They have three metal cables that anchor the double sided logo sign which is key to keep it safely attached to the tent out of customer's faces. It raises above the canopy which is so important for visuals, and safety. Last thing you need to worry about is a customer walking into your sign or it catching wind and smashing them in the head. As I said, I tested my files before I sell any of them. Making sure they meet high expectations.
I offer files in SVG format, and don't bother with others for one major reason, It messes with files from the original formats, slightly but it happened and with most laser owners these days using so many software's I design them in SVG so they are high quality scalable and can be converted on so many file converting websites instantly. So here is a link to my files and I hope you find one to try at your next event, or to sell online. My copywrite comes with commercial rights, but please make sure you read the policies I have outlined to stay in compliance. YOU CAN NOT SELL OR GIVE AWAY ANY OF MY FILES. I give so much so please don't take so much of my work.
